On July 07, Isabel Raabe and I had the pleasure of talking via lifestream with Azu Nwagbogu about, among other things, the Home Museum Lagos he co-founded – a private collection of photographs gathered through an open call as part of the LagosPhoto Festival. In addition, we discussed how collections can bring objects into narrative. Whose story do the objects tell? What is the relationship between the narratives and the narrative of the collections? And can this relationship be changed when collections are created through collective processes?
